Little River Farm–by Peace Ridge Sanctuary

Little River Farm (LRF) is one of Peace Ridge Sanctuary’s four shelter locations in midcoast Maine that together are home to hundreds of rescued farmed animals, equines, and companion animals, as well as countless wild animals that find safety and refuge on the nonprofit’s nearly 2,000 acres of protected land. LRF is located right outside downtown Belfast, Maine, a charming little oceanfront city. Located in a more densely-populated area than our other shelters, and in a prime tourist destination, LRF is set up to be an important educational hub for Peace Ridge’s comprehensive humane education programs, while also acting as a support and overflow shelter for Peace Ridge’s main shelter locations in Brooks, Maine. This a truly special place for animals and people alike.
