Gifts of Assets
Donor-Advised Funds
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible way to support GFAS and help advance our mission of ensuring exemplary care and lifelong sanctuary for animals in need. A DAF allows you to make a charitable contribution, receive a tax benefit, and recommend grants to organizations like GFAS over time.
You can contribute cash, securities, or other assets to your fund and recommend a grant to GFAS at any time to support our work helping sanctuaries provide the highest standards of care for animals.

Stock Donation
Donating appreciated securities can be a tax-smart way to support GFAS and our work to strengthen animal sanctuaries worldwide. Gifts of stock may allow you to receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities while avoiding capital gains taxes on the appreciation.

Making a Gift From an IRA
If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a tax-efficient gift to GFAS directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Often called an IRA Charitable Rollover or Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), this type of gift allows you to support the advancement of accredited animal sanctuaries and rescue centers around the world while potentially reducing your taxable income.
Contact your IRA administrator and request that a Qualified Charitable Distribution be made directly to GFAS. Gifts can typically be made from Traditional or Roth IRAs and may be one-time or recurring distributions.
