Founded in 1984, The Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is dedicated to the protection of captive wildlife.
PAWS has been at the forefront of efforts to change public policies and laws to better protect performing animals and all captive wildlife.
PAWS advocates for the highest quality of care and appropriate, humane sanctuary for animals who have been victims of the exotic and performing animal trades.
PAWS operates three natural habitat sanctuaries and provides peaceful, life-time, 24/7 care for elephants, tigers, bears, and other exotic species.
