Belize Bird Rescue

Belize Bird Rescue is Belize’s dedicated avian rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary, working year-round to rescue wild birds in need while pioneering the rehabilitation and release of former-captive parrots rescued from the illegal pet trade. Our work includes emergency rescue, veterinary and husbandry care, hand-raising orphaned chicks, long-term sanctuary for non-releasable birds, and conservation collaboration to return birds to the wild wherever possible. Maintaining high welfare and sanctuary standards is central to everything we do. Donations directly support food, medical care, aviaries, rescue operations, and the specialized rehabilitation programs that give Belize’s birds – especially parrots – the chance for a healthier, freer future.
