The Wild Animal Sanctuary currently operates two facilities within Colorado totaling more than Ten Thousand Acres! We rescue animals from horrific captive situations and rehabilitate them so they can live and roam freely within large natural habitats with others of their own kind.
The Sanctuary currently cares for more than 500 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves and many other species of animals. Rescued animals are given large free-roaming habitats ranging from 5 to 300 acres in size and allowed to live in natural social groups.
The Sanctuary has rescued animals across America and from all over the world, including Panama, Mexico, Uruguay, South Korea, Bolivia, Spain, Lebanon and Argentina, working with domestic and foreign governments to solve the Captive Wildlife Crisis.
