Heal a Horse and animal sanctuary was originally founded in 2001 to cover a need to help horses who were abandoned tied to a tree to endure a long painful death, offering a permanent home and medical care.

However, the need to help other species became necessary. People started dumping dogs and cats at the gate, some only a few weeks old. Now people call on us to help injured, abandoned, and abused animals, not only horses but other species too. We now house some thirty dogs, 10 cats, three pigs and about twenty hens and roosters as well as horses.

Together we make changes, donations are essential to help with feed, medical bills, maintenance. We have no payroll. Every cent goes to the upkeep of the sanctuary.
