Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga

“Rescuing Racehorses, Healing Humans” – Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga rescues retired racehorses that have sustained an injury and can no longer have a career in riding. We retrain them to be used as therapy animals in Equine Assisted Therapy programs. Our horses are part of our team and play a vital role in self-exploration. We would not be able to maintain these services without the generous support of our donors and community. We match humans in need with horses that can provide profound healing. THS works in partnership with Licensed Mental Health Professionals at ECS Psychological Services who provide equine-assisted therapy to our community’s most vulnerable populations. This includes adults and children with mental illness and social difficulties, Veterans, families and couples, victims of domestic violence, and others in need of care.
