Yayasan IAR Indonesia’s Centre for Rescue and Conservation Of Orangutans Becomes First Facility In Asia to Earn Accreditation from Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries

(Washington, D.C.) – The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS), the only globally recognized organization providing standards for identifying legitimate animal sanctuaries and rescue/rehabilitation centers, is pleased to announce that Yayasan IAR Indonesia’s (YIARI) Centre for Rescue and Conservation of Orangutans has achieved GFAS Accreditation as of January 17, 2014. The Centre has become the first GFAS Accredited facility in Asia.
