RVR Horse Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization that provides rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing to equines in need.
RVR is known for handling the worst cases of starvation, injury and abuse, and we are able to provide 24-hour critical care. In 2017 RVR was honored to become accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
Through our educational outreach program called C.L.E.A.R., RVR raises awareness of the needs of domestic and wild horses by visiting schools and senior communities, and hosting events.
To reduce the number of horses needing rescue, RVR provides gelding vouchers and temporary feed support through its Horse Angels program.
RVR’s programs are funded by donations, grants, fundraisers and sponsorships.
